When to call a professional rather than treat it yourself
Not every insect needs a contractor. A single garden ant trail you can wipe away is not an emergency. Wasps in a loft, rats in a drain, or bed bugs in a rented flat usually are.
Request a surveyDIY can be enough
A moth in a sealed food packet, a lone spider, or a few garden ants on a windowsill do not need a visit. Remove the food, clean the trail, and watch for a week. If nothing returns, you are done.
Call sooner
Stinging insects near children or a doorway, rodents in a kitchen or food room, repeating bites after travel or a hotel stay, moles wrecking a lawn you cannot live with, or any pest in a food business or let property.
When DIY usually fails
Supermarket bait for rats often misses the drain or the run they actually use. A wasp nest in a cavity wall is not a job for a spray can. Bed bugs need preparation and follow-up; one aerosol on the mattress does not finish it.
Safety and the law
Rodenticides, wasp nest treatments and bird work have legal and safety limits. Wild birds and their nests are protected. Labels and licences exist for a reason. If you are unsure, do not improvise.
What we need from you
A photo if you have one, the postcode, the type of building, and how long it has been going on. That is enough for us to say whether a survey is warranted and how soon.

We identify the pest, explain the method, and quote before work starts. You are not committed by sending a photo.
